Zhejiang Petrochemical 40 million ton Refining and Petrochemical Integration Phase I Project was put into operation

On December 31, 2019, the 20 million t/a oil refining (including 4 million t/a PX aromatics), 1.4 million t/a ethylene and downstream chemical products units of the 40 million t/a refining and chemical integration project (Phase I) of Zhejiang Petrochemical Co., Ltd. were fully commissioned. At present, the 40 million t/a refining and chemical integration project of Zhejiang Petrochemical has achieved stable operation and can produce more than 15 kinds of qualified refining and chemical products, including paraxylene (PX), ethylene, propylene and naphtha. It is reported that in the next stage, Zhejiang Petrochemical will continue to take safe production as the main task, and take the smooth start-up of Phase I as an opportunity to further debug and optimize relevant process parameters, improve the production and operation level of the unit, and continue to promote the high-quality development of Yushan Green Petrochemical Base.

       The completion of the first phase project of Zhejiang Petrochemical has milestone significance for accelerating the construction of Zhoushan Pilot Free Trade Zone into an international petrochemical base, providing strong support for building a pilot zone of Zhoushan Free Trade Port characterized by the whole oil and gas industry chain, and improving the international influence of China's oil industry to a certain extent.
